Teachers use IH Bristol's original in-house weekly materials booklets (topic-based, with teacher's notes, written by our core team of teachers, updated annually) - with 'Kids' versions and 'Teens' versions. Full board and lodging provided, but there are no residential duties (these are taken care of by the on-site Bromsgrove team; IH Bristol provides the Academic Teaching Team plus our live-in IHB Academic Manager). IH Bristol's Bromsgrove Summer School

IH Bristols Bromsgrove Summer School has been running for 10 years. In that time the school has built an experience for their international summer junior students which is both fulfilling and rewarding, working together with IH Bristol's Academic EFL Teaching Team.

Bromsgrove is centrally located, just a 30 minute drive from Birmingham and its international airport and only 1 hour and 40 minutes from London Heathrow. The location means there is easy access to many of the UK’s best tourist spots including Stratford, Warwick, Alton Towers, Drayton Manor Theme Park, West Midlands Safari Park and more, meaning it is easy for Bromsgrove to offer a fun and wide-ranging package of excursions, but also a great spot to do weekend exploring for teachers (since IH Bristol teachers are free to come and go from site for evenings and weekends!)

Accommodation

Bromsgrove teaching contracts come with full board and lodging, but no evening or weekend work commitments - it's a teaching only contract!

About the school and city

International House Bristol is a leading language school located in the vibrant city of Bristol, one of the best places to live in the UK. We are dedicated to providing high-quality English language courses to students from around the world. Established in 1987, the school has a rich history and a commitment to excellence. We are the largest family-owned and operated school in Bristol as well as being a CELTA training centre and an exam centre for Cambridge, IELTS and OET. IH Bristol has been affiliated to International House World Organisation since 2009 and has been named in the top 10% of language schools in the UK by EL Gazette.

The school has two buildings, both in Clifton, the university quarter. We offer a range of courses from junior summer and winter programmes to exam courses, one-to-one, 45 years+ courses, and teacher training. There is a warm and friendly atmosphere; IH Bristol aims to give back to the community: we have taught many refugee classes in Bristol and have been involved in development projects in Cuba, Angola and Vietnam.
