How long were you an EFL teacher, and how long have you been a teacher trainer?

I have been an EFL teacher for 21 years, and a teacher trainer for 11 years.

Did you have a different career before EFL?

Prior to working in EFL I was an estate agent.

What are your hopes/aspirations for your trainees?

To enjoy the learning process and develop of love of teaching.

When you were an EFL teacher what did you like most, and how do you bring that into the classroom for your trainees?

I enjoyed students being engaged and seeing how learning English can be fun. I have the same approach during a training course.

What advice would you give your trainees for successfully completing the course?

Be as organised as possible; schedule your time and workload; look after yourself - eat proper food and find time for yourself.

What advice would you give your trainees for an interesting and rewarding career?

Carry on developing after the course and become part of the EFL community.
