Life in and around Cordoba

Cordoba is a city with a population of 350,000 in the very centre of Andalusia, the southernmost region of Spain. It is the only city in the world with four UNESCO World Heritage Sites, but it’s not so big so you won't have problems finding your way around.

Cordoba enjoys a hot sunny climate during most of the year and it is well known for its history, beauty and the friendliness of its people. Cordoba has a rich history, and Roman, Visigoth, Muslim, Jewish and Christian influences can be found all over the city. For seven centuries Christian, Jewish and Muslim cultures have flourished side by side.

Due to its location Córdoba is something of a cultural centre in Andalusia, and for its size has a rich and stimulating offer of entertainment. Seville, Malaga and Granada are just over an hour away by car and well connected by high-speed train.
